When I hiked the Old Salmon River Trail there was an unnamed “waterfall”/creek that really caught my eye near the Salmon River Trailhead (West) end of the trail. It’s pretty close to that trailhead. I decided to take my parents to see it so we parked and hiked down the trail until there was a spur trail around 45.27851, -121.94052 that led down to the edge of the Salmon River at 45.27838, -121.94089. On the other side of the river around 45.27839, -121.94103 is a creek that cascades down a rock face into the river. It looks like a waterfall, so I’m calling it one. This creek and “waterfall” are not named on any of the maps I looked at. So I’m just calling it by its coordinates. I really don’t feel like pictures do this waterfall justice. One of its highlights is the moss covered fallen trees that frame it and all the green forest growth. The way the water cascades into the river is pretty cool too.

My gps track was a little wonky so it appears like we crossed the river, we did not. We just saw it from the east side of the river.
