I’ve been to Little Zigzag Falls once before in June 2020. I remembered it being a pretty cool waterfall and a more accessible hike. So I took my parents to see it. I was curious to see the difference between June and November. I plan to come back again in January or February after some snow to see what it looks like when it’s surrounded in snow.

There were multiple cars at the trailhead, and a light dusting of snow on some plants and what not. The trail followed along the Little Zigzag River. It was barely uphill, the incline was nominal until one uphill section close to the waterfall. The trail V’s - going right goes to the bottom of the falls and going left climbs uphill to the top of the falls.

We went to the base of the falls first and took some pictures. Then we took the other trail that lead to the top of the waterfall. The trail pretty much ends there. We headed back toward the trailhead and it started lightly snowing. We saw multiple groups of people, but it didn’t feel crowded.

It’s an easy and short hike. The waterfall is well worth it and the flow rate when we went was incredible.
